Relocating a Home: Case Studies

Relocate a home case studies
A beautiful Queenslander, renovated to perfection

Relocating a house can be a quick and practical solution to finding a home, recycling an old beauty, or building on a steep block. Our house relocation case studies are where you can learn from people (like me!) who’ve actually moved houses and their experiences. Find out what to consider and mistakes to avoid, potentially saving you thousands of dollars.

Whenever I’m doing something new or unchartered, I’m always looking for people who’ve ‘been there, done that’ in the hope of learning from their stories. It’s like a tonic, or a pill from a page, that keeps me focused and motivated.

I’m excited to bring you my own experiences of relocating houses in Sydney, and over time, look forward to publishing stories of other home relocation enthusiasts out there from all over Australia. From Townsville to Tasmania there are people who’ve trodden this path before.

My original inspiration for moving houses came from an article about couple in South Australia who were doing it. In Northern NSW and Brisbane it’s not unusual to see houses travelling down the highway to their new location. I want to bring you stories of people from all over Australia who have seen the potential and realised the value in relocating a home.

Have you relocated a home? If so I’d love to hear from you and learn all about the experience. You can contact me here.
